 Skechers Tone Ups - disappointing :-( September 5, 2010

I tried these shoes on briefly in a shop but didnt buy them then and there because I wanted to get best price which I did on Amazon. I was really excited about them arriving because standing in them in the shop - they were sooo comfy, like walking on cushions and they looked fab! However once mine had arrived, I noticed that although I had ordered my usual size, the toe space is very long which I hadnt realised in the shop. The size seems ok on the main foot part but they are def too long in the toe. I wore them around the house for an hour or so and they seemed really comfy at first, but then after a while the top of my foot started to hurt and felt almost bruised. I think its because there is little give in the strap over the top of the foot. The next day the top of my feet hurt so much I couldnt even put them on and they were relegated to my cupboard where I expect they will stay till I next do a boot sale!!!

Bought these last month and wear them all day, every day. It's like walking on soft rubber shock absorbers and the thong between the toes is so comfortable. Dreading winter now when I might have to wear something warmer. I am a UK size 4, but they seem to come up larger, so bought UK size 3 which is a perfect fit.

love these so much a bought a second pair as my daughter keeps borrowing them! The first time I wore them a had backache and i can't say i've really noticed that much difference in the tone of my legs and bum. But they are so comfortable to walk in and they look good!

I'm wearing these as I type but I was surprised to find that they were longer than my Fit Flops despite being nominally the same size.
For me that means that I've had to become accustomed to the extra length (I need the extra width because my feet are wider than any shoe is made).
Apart from that I'm happy with the sandals.

I have a pair of Fit Flops but decided I wanted a black pair to wear on more occasions with a smarter appearance.
I chose the Sketchers due to the lower price. They are very comfortable and look identical to the ones made by Fit Flops but I have to say I prefer the quality of the Fit Flops and the overall fit.
I have had my Fit Flops for over one year and they still fit snuggly around my foot despite frequent wearing - were as the Sketchers feel a little looser.
Overall I would definitely recommend these as a good lower cost version but if I was purchasing another pair would lean towards the original Fit Flops version.
As for toning, I have seen some difference in my legs and lower body area however this has been combined with diet and exercise so not sure how much is due to the shoes themselves - but still they are a very comfortable pair of shoes to wear whilst out and about.
