I bought the download version for £5.00 so at under 10 pence a track its really great value.
True there are some tracks that now I have listened to it from start to finish without skipping a track I won't be so kind to in the future.
But the real shame as highlighted by other reviewers is that the title is misleading and does a great diservice to all the fantastic music that the US of A has produced over the years in favour admittedly of some great stuff produced in the UK. I daren't start listing artists missed off but there are some glaring omissions that have been identified by others.
What I really like about the compilation is having the essence of all the driving cassettes that I bought in the 80's, when I had hair and weighed substantially less, in one handy collection, so my advice is get over the fact that its not "All American" but enjoy what it has to offer.

I ordered a CD - American Anthems, on Amazon Prime 1 day delivery, due for delivery on 04 Sept 2010 - but it hasn't come and today is the 6th!
There does not seem to be any way to contact amazon to tell them this!

I love this, it has all the songs I have bought over the years, but all in one place. It brought back lots of great memories. Highly recommended.

Superb collection. One one level it's just another compliation album but what a compliation!. Great fun, great value a must have album for everybody over 40 plus a must have album for anybody under 40 who has any musical blood in their veins.
