A Classic (from a woman's perspective) November 19, 2008 BabyMarvel (England) I enjoy this TV - it's gorgeous, slinky black and doesn't look like the 2001 Space Odyssey monolith has made a new home in my living room. It's easy to put together (stand-to-TV) and I had no problems at all with tuning. My only additional cost was a 30 pound HDMI cable to use with the DVD player. I have had this Sony for just over a month now and I LOVE IT! TV + cable and all together under 400 pound - this was a great buy.
Realy Gooood!!! November 19, 2008 A. Lemo (United Kingdom) Having previously owned an LG 19 inch tv for two years, I was excited about the prospect of having my very own large flat-screen. I ordered on Friday night and it was duly delivered yesterday evening. Setup took less than 10 minutes and after a bit of tweaking using setting from AV forums, all i can say is that the picture quality is amazing even on standard defination and hgh defination is just beyond words, far better than on my previous tv even though you cannot really compare. there is loads of inputs to connect your devices, games, etc and the TV looks nice aswell which is definately a plus. my only slight qualm with this is that dark scenes sometimes are a bit too dark but that can be probably solved with a bit of more tweaking. In all a very good bargain for less than 330 pounds, Money well spent in my opinion, can't wait to watch some blue-ray movies. Oh and also in addition to this, i have just setup my ps3 to stream content straight from my pc so i can watch on my tv and prison break, movies, and anime look absolutely fabulous, it may seem like i'm exxagerating but it is quite good.
Great tv but don't go for the promotional wall bracket November 14, 2008 James Ellis 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
My partner recently purchased the Sony KDL 32v4000 tv with the Techlink TWM2 wall bracket as a promotion. Great tv but completely incompatible with the supplied wall bracket. We have complained many times but still Amazon are advertising this bracket with the tv. "WHY !!!!!!!!" DO NOT BUY THE TECLINK TWM2 BRACKET FOR THIS TV.
Great Value TV November 13, 2008 P. Miller (Oxted, Surrey, UK) 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
Ordered this TV yesterday on behalf of a family friend and it arrived at 8.30am this morning! I had the set up and running within 20 minutes. It tunes itself and connecting the ordinary Sky Box via scart cable was simple. Picture quality is very good and as my friend doesn't want Sky+ HD this was the perfect choice for her needs. I have only given this 4 stars as I have been spoilt with my W Series version of this TV along with Sky+HD which is worth getting if you like watching a lot of movies, wildlife documentaries & sport. If not, then this TV is a very good choice for normal digital TV viewing. Excellent service again from Amazon. (5 Stars!)
Good but not Great November 13, 2008 pet2000 31 out of 36 found this review helpful
I've bought this tv recently from amazon for 365. It's good but not better than my 32" Digimate bought from elsewhere, which costs me 235, so I think that Sony is a bit over-rated. Don't buy this Sony model if you watch a lot of sport because you get fuzzy pictures with fast moving objects (my cheaper Digimate is better in this respect). P.S. Don't buy this set because of the extra 3-years warranty if you can get it cheaper without the warranty. The warranty from Sony is rubbish and a Con. Read the condition, your warranty only lasts to your first claim, which could be after one months of ownership. A good trick worked out by the Sony lawyers to get extra money for their sets, in this now very competitive 32" market place. My Digimate came with a standard 5-years collect and return warrranty without any restrictions. Pros: A good TV but not better than cheaper budget makes. Cons: Not for sport fans (fuzzy on fast moving objects). Somewhat irritating that important functions such as brightness and colour are not directly accessible on the remote control. Disappointing sound. The extra 3-years warranty is a con and Sony should be ashamed of themselves.
