Heart warming, too bad John Thaw is no longer with us.

I bought this video because I read the sleeve and noticed that the writer (no relation) shared the same surname as me. I also think John Thaw is a marvellous actor. In the film, he plays estate agent Harry Jenkins, a greedy old racist who suddenly discovers that his daughter has died, leaving him a mixed-race granddaughter that he didn't know he had. From the outset, the little girl barges her way into his heart and forces him to question his life-long prejudices. I generally hate tearjerkers, but this one was witty enough to win me over. A genuine treat.
